My grandma and I have formed a close bond over time. In recent years, we’ve become friends – “bosom buddies”, my grandma had called it – as we talked over lunch on a cool day in early November. We spent the afternoon in a cozy booth at the Baker’s Square near her apartment complex in Edina, Minnesota, eye-to-eye, coffees in hand, immersed in conversation.
